Pharma Technology, based in Nivelles, Belgium since 1992, makes tablet dedusters and capsule polishers with integrated metal detection. Its PharmaFlex iSeries carries a patented Auto-Check system that runs the metal-detector challenge test automatically and stops both the deduster and the tablet press if the test fails.
The challenge test is normally a manual procedure run at intervals; Auto-Check runs it automatically and ties the result to the press.
The wider range covers the peripheral equipment that sits immediately after compression and encapsulation, including dedusting, polishing, sorting, quality control, and lubrication systems for tablet and capsule handling. Equipment is offered from R&D through large-scale production, and the company has stayed on this one part of the oral solid dose line since 1992 rather than diversifying across the process.
