This policy explains what personal information Virtual Pharma Expo collects, why, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. It is written to describe what actually happens rather than to cover every theoretical possibility, so where a different company handles part of the process we say so and link to their policy.
Virtual Pharma Expo is a free, twice-yearly online event series for pharmaceutical fill/finish and solid dosage teams, presented by Federal Equipment Company, Techceuticals and Pharmaceutical Online.
Virtual Pharma Expo is operated by Federal Machinery & Equipment Company, d/b/a Federal Equipment Company, an Ohio corporation located at 8200 Bessemer Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44127, United States. Federal Equipment Company is the controller of the personal information described in this policy, except where this policy says another company controls it.
Techceuticals and PharmParts are divisions of Federal Equipment Company — the same legal entity, not separate companies. Where this policy says Federal Equipment Company may use your information for marketing, that includes marketing on behalf of those divisions.
For anything about Virtual Pharma Expo, contact info@virtualpharmaexpo.com. For formal data protection requests, the controller contact is marketing@fedequip.com or the postal address above, telephone +1-216-271-3500.
Virtual Pharma Expo runs across three separate systems, and it matters which one you are using:
This website, www.virtualpharmaexpo.com. Everything on this site — the contact form, the exhibitor enquiry form, the event-announcement signup, and the analytics and cookies described below — is covered by this policy.
Event registration, which is not on this site. When you click any "Register free" button you are taken to ON24, the webinar platform that runs our events. Registration is collected there under the terms and privacy statement presented on that form, which are Life Science Connect's, not ours. Federal Equipment Company receives the registrant list from ON24 afterwards, and from that point this policy applies to what we do with it. See Life Science Connect's privacy policy, Life Science Connect's terms and conditions and ON24's privacy policy.
Other companies' websites. Federal Equipment Company, Techceuticals, PharmParts and Pharmaceutical Online each have their own sites and their own policies. Following a link to one of them takes you outside this policy.
Registration is handled on ON24 under Life Science Connect's terms, and typically includes your name, business email address, company, job title and country. Registration also requires agreeing to Life Science Connect's terms and conditions and privacy policy, and to receiving the Pharmaceutical Online newsletter. Federal Equipment Company receives the resulting registrant and attendance list.
Our contact form collects your first name, last name, business email address, the subject you select, and your message. Our exhibitor enquiry form collects your first name, last name, company, business email address, company website and message. Both are submitted to HubSpot, our customer relationship management system.
The signup form on this site collects your business email address and which event tracks you want to hear about, both of which are required, and optionally your first name, last name, company and job title. Subscriptions are confirmed by email before any announcement is sent — if you do not click the confirmation link, you are not subscribed. This list is held in Mailchimp.
Because our HubSpot tracking code also records submissions of forms on this site, a signup made here is recorded in HubSpot as well as Mailchimp. Unsubscribing from the announcement list stops the announcements; if you also want your record removed from HubSpot, ask us and we will do it.
Our host records standard server information including your IP address, the pages requested, the time of the request, your browser and operating system, and the referring page. We and the services listed below also use cookies and similar technologies to measure how the site is used.
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis for processing, we rely on the following.
To answer an enquiry you send us, and to follow up on an exhibitor enquiry: our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us, and where an arrangement follows, performance of that contract.
To run the events you register for, including sending joining details and the recording afterwards: performance of our arrangement with you, and our legitimate interest in operating the event series.
To send event announcements to subscribers: your consent, given by confirming your subscription, which you may withdraw at any time.
To market Federal Equipment Company, Techceuticals and PharmParts products and services to business contacts: our legitimate interest in promoting related products to a professional audience, or your consent where the law requires it.
To measure and improve this site: your consent where consent is required for the cookies involved, and otherwise our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations: compliance with a legal obligation.
This site uses the following. Google Analytics 4 measures site usage and sets the cookies _ga and _ga_VGGWEZZC5E. HubSpot supports our forms and measures which pages a contact viewed, and sets the cookies __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssrc and __hssc. Wistia serves the video player and measures video playback. Netlify hosts the site and keeps server logs.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are blocked until you consent through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change that choice at any time through the same banner. Outside those countries they are enabled by default and you may opt out through the banner or your browser. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one.
Your browser can block or delete cookies for any site. Doing so does not stop the site working, but parts of it may not remember your preferences.
We do not sell the personal information we collect on this website. Some of the recipients below, however, operate their own businesses on their own terms, and one of them does sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law — so please read this section rather than relying on that first sentence alone.
Life Science Connect, LLC, which publishes Pharmaceutical Online, is our co-presenter. It collects event registrations through ON24 and handles exhibitor enrolment. We forward exhibitor enquiries submitted on this site to Life Science Connect so their team can follow up. Life Science Connect describes itself as a lead generation company and states that it sells or shares personal information for commercial purposes as defined by the CCPA and CPRA. If that matters to you, read their privacy policy before submitting an exhibitor enquiry or registering for an event.
Exhibitors receive information about the attendees who engaged with their session, including the questions asked and interest expressed, so they can follow up. This is part of what an exhibitor receives in exchange for presenting, and it is disclosed on the registration form you complete before attending. If you would rather an exhibitor did not receive your details, do not submit questions during their session, and contact us and we will exclude you.
We use ON24 for events, HubSpot for customer relationship management, Mailchimp for event announcements, Google for analytics and web fonts, Wistia for video, and Netlify for hosting. Each processes information on our behalf under its own agreement with us.
Information may be used across Federal Equipment Company and its Techceuticals and PharmParts divisions, which are the same legal entity, for the purposes described in this policy.
We may disclose information where required by law, court order or a governmental request, to investigate suspected fraud or threats to safety, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We are based in the United States and information is processed there. Our service providers may process information in other countries where they operate. Where information is transferred out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on the transfer mechanisms our providers make available, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We keep personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account any contractual and legal obligations to retain it, actual or potential disputes, and regulatory and audit requirements. After that we delete it or anonymise it.
Every event announcement includes an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately. To unsubscribe from the Pharmaceutical Online newsletter you agreed to at registration, email info@pharmaceuticalonline.com, as stated on the registration form. To change your cookie choices, use the banner. To ask us to stop marketing to you entirely, or to remove your record, email info@virtualpharmaexpo.com.
You have the right to be informed about how your information is used, to access it, to have it corrected, to have it erased in certain circumstances, to restrict how it is used, to obtain it in a portable form, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email marketing@fedequip.com or write to the address above.
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used and disclosed, to request access to it and a copy of it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may also opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and limit the use of sensitive personal information. Because Life Science Connect sells or shares personal information as defined by the CCPA and CPRA, opt-out requests concerning registration data should also be sent to privacy@lifescienceconnect.com. Requests to us go to marketing@fedequip.com.
We will respond to requests within the period the applicable law allows, and may need to verify your identity first.
This site is served only over HTTPS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and credentials for the services we use are held server-side and are not present in the pages you download. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Virtual Pharma Expo is a professional event series intended for people acting in a business capacity. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will apply only to information collected after they are posted. This policy replaces the previous privacy policy published for this site.
