Fitzpatrick has built particle processing equipment since 1937, and the Fitzmill is one of the most widely recognized hammer mill brands in solid dosage. Alongside milling it supplies the CCS roller compactor range for dry granulation, scalable from lab through to production. Now part of IDEX MPT.
The two product lines work on the same problem: the roller compactors densify powder into uniform granules without liquid or a drying step, and the mills bring the resulting ribbon or any other feedstock down to a controlled particle size distribution.
Beyond pharmaceutical formulation, Fitzpatrick supplies nutraceutical and food processing, and fine chemical production, where the mills handle abrasive and corrosive materials.
