Hudi PharmaX

Hudi PharmaX is the machinery arm of Milan-based Hudi Pharma, building capsule filling equipment for R&D, pilot, and small-batch production. Its DEDALO Dx is a compact fully automatic filler with 21 dosing combinations and an in-line weight checker, aimed at saving API during development runs.

The DEDALO Dx runs at 4,000 capsules an hour and fills powder, dry powder inhaler formulations, pellets, liquids, mini-tablets, tablets, and capsules. Its weight checker works to 1 mg accuracy with automatic ejection, device and format changeover takes about 10 minutes, and the machine stands 180 cm high by 60 wide and 70 long at 200 kg. It accepts both tamping and dosator dosing, which Hudi presents as the route to scaling onto the common production machines. Designed and built in Italy.

The parent company is a CDMO and packaging business that also manufactures vaginal suppositories at more than 90 million units a year, and lists ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CE, and GMP credentials while serving FDA- and EMA-regulated markets.
