Fette Compacting

Fette has built precision tablet presses since 1948, when it introduced its first in-house machine, and has over 6,000 installed worldwide. Its US subsidiary has supplied the North American market from Rockaway, New Jersey since 1991, covering sales, installation, validation, training, spare parts, and tooling.

The press range splits into the FE, i, and p series, covering conventional batch tableting through to high-output production, with containment configurations for potent compounds and the FE CPS platform for continuous manufacturing. Fette supplies its own tableting tools alongside the machines, on the argument that matching press and tooling from one source removes the interface problems that show up as capping, sticking, or short tool life.

Its TRI.EASY design principle organizes the machine around operation, changeover, and cleaning as three separate demands rather than optimizing for run time alone. The company also runs an R&D services arm covering powder and tablet analysis, formulation and process development, and technology transfer into commercial production.
