FPS Food and Pharma Systems has exhibited at Virtual Pharma Expo 1 time (2021), in the solid dosage track.
FPS builds custom isolators, containment systems, and micronization equipment for high-potency and sterile active ingredients, from Fiorenzuola d'Arda in Italy. Its milling range covers spiral jet mills, the QMill, and the PinMill, and its Micronization Center of Excellence runs technical trials from small quantities up to full batches.
The isolator range is organized by where in the process the containment sits: units for API and HPAPI primary production, units for HPAPI formulation, packaging, and oral solid dose, and sterile configurations for aseptic handling and sterile HPAPI, including antibody-drug conjugate work. Downflow booths cover the cases where an aerodynamic barrier is enough and a physical one would be impractical.
Alongside these sit Robo-Tech robotic handling and GloveXpert glove management. Mills are supplied as R&D, pilot, and production units on a common platform, so a micronization process developed on small quantities transfers to production without changing milling principle. FPS also serves chemical and cosmetic manufacturers.
