SP Industries has exhibited at Virtual Pharma Expo 2 times (2021), in the aseptic fill/finish track.
SP's lyophilization line traces back to VirTis, founded in 1953, and its Hull and VirTis freeze dryers span research, pilot, and production scale. It also builds the automatic and row-by-row loading systems that move vials into and out of a freeze dryer without breaking the aseptic boundary.
Hull covers pilot and production lyophilizers, VirTis the laboratory and development end, and the two together let a cycle developed on a benchtop unit transfer to commercial scale with comparable geometry. Alongside freeze dryers, SP supplies Genevac benchtop solvent evaporators, temperature control solutions, laboratory glassware washers, and a substantial consumables and glassware business under the Wilmad and Bel-Art names.
A LyoRenewal program refurbishes and resells existing freeze dryers. The company also runs freeze-drying training programs and publishes technical guidance on cycle design. SP is part of the ATS Life Sciences group.
