AST builds aseptic fill-finish equipment for ready-to-use nested vials, cartridges, and syringes from Tacoma, Washington, and has been delivering automated processing systems since 1965. Its ASEPTiCell, launched in 2006, was the first aseptic robotic fill-finish machine to run all three formats on a single line.

The GENiSYS line covers clinical and commercial production at the batch sizes cell, gene, and regenerative medicines actually run at, filling up to 20 containers a minute with 100% fill-weight checking. GENiSYS R is the robotic configuration, built for small-batch sterile production: ready-to-fill vials, syringes, and cartridges on one machine, peristaltic dispensing, and bag and tub opening, filling, and vial sealing automated end to end. AST pairs it with the Atmos isolator, integrating filling line, barrier, and decontamination cycle as one validated system under Annex 1. GENiSYS C is a compact filling and closing system, and GENiSYS Lab a benchtop range for development and small cGMP runs.

Underneath sit the modular building blocks the machines share: the Container Filling, Container Closing, and Vial Sealing Systems. Customers include biologics manufacturers, CDMOs, cell and gene therapy developers, biosimilar producers, and compounding pharmacies.
