Frewitt

Frewitt has built milling and sizing equipment for pharmaceutical, food, and fine chemical powders since 1946, from Granges-Paccot in Switzerland. Its EasyMill, FlexMill, and PowerMill platforms take interchangeable conical, oscillating, hammer, pin, and rotating-sieve heads on a shared drive unit, covering both dry and wet milling.

The modularity lets a plant change milling principle for a new product without buying a separate machine. Around the mills, Frewitt supplies sieving, homogenizing, deagglomerating, conveying, dosing, and filling systems for powders, granulates, and suspensions, plus cryogenic milling for materials that will not mill at ambient temperature and containment configurations for potent compounds.

The company sells through product configurators rather than fixed catalogs, reflecting how much of the work is application-specific. Outside pharmaceuticals it has become a significant supplier to battery manufacturing, where it works on anode and cathode processes.
