HERMA

HERMA makes labeling machines and self-adhesive label material in the same house, from Filderstadt near Stuttgart. Its 132M HC is built for healthcare applications and runs up to 400 products a minute, applying tamper-evident seals on formats down to very small medical packs.

HERMA makes both the machine and the adhesive material, which in pharmaceutical work have to behave as one system with the applicator on awkward substrates and at speed. The machine range covers wrap-around, two-side, top, bottom, and combined top and bottom labeling, plus semi-automatic units and print-and-apply systems for variable data.

HERMA 500 applicators sit underneath most of these as the common labeling head. Pharmaceutical applications include vials, vaccines, bottles, folding cartons, and tamper-evident seals, along with RFID labeling and application onto vertical and horizontal form-fill-seal packs. The service business covers retrofits, upgrades, change parts, and customizing on installed machines.
