Comecer - an ATS Company

Comecer builds isolation technology for aseptic processing and containment: pharma isolators, glove boxes, and shielded isolators and hot cells for radiopharmaceutical work. Founded in Castel Bolognese, Italy in 1975, it has been part of the ATS Life Sciences group since 2019.

The pharma side covers containment, aseptic fill and finish, and hospital pharmacy, and includes complete filling systems rather than isolators alone: the FLEXLINE series handles robotic aseptic filling and closing of ready-to-use vials, syringes, and cartridges from clinical through small-scale production, and the MICROLINE series covers rotary aseptic filling for vials and syringes in early-stage work.

A third business unit serves cell and gene therapy with cell culturing isolators, incubation systems, cell filling systems, and downstream isolators. Comecer also builds hot cells, radiochemistry systems, and shielding for nuclear medicine, and operates from sites in Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, India, and the United States.
